By Ali Wilson Blimey! What a day! So today (Saturday 19th March 2016) was the GBPF British National Championships for Masters Powerlifting (40 years and over – ish). It was held in Horncastle, so with the girls P-j Gentle and Wendy Williams having their weigh-in at 8am, it meant leaving Northampton at 5.30am…. My weigh-in was at 1pm, and thank God it was. The Rumble Fitness Competition ‘Masters Of The Sea’, a four person team event, the PTS team was me, Kerry Gowen, Leanne Cliffordand Ali Crooks… And we won! Yeaaaaaaaah boy! By Ali Wilson So at the weekend of 27th and 28th of February 2016 we held at PTS the fourth year of East Midlands Strongest! Four years on and still going strong! On the Saturday we had the women’s competition and on the Sunday we had the men’s competition. I was refereeing both days, with Nina Cambatta helping me ref on the Saturday and Pj Gentle helping me ref on the Sunday, and what a good job they did!
