Fitness Classes

Our specialist fitness classes in Northampton are not like your normal aerobics classes. We allow a maximum of 20 people in each of the sessions in order to maximise the attention that each participant gets, ensuring that you get a safe and specific workout for your needs. Our classes are very popular because of great atmosphere we provide here and fill up fast. Circuit Training

Circuit training is a fantastic way of improving your stamina, strength and mobility. Circuit training commonly consists of between 6 and 10 strength exercises completed one after the other. Our exercises are separated by short rests. The number of overall sessions may vary depending on person to person. As our customers' needs are highly important to us, therefore our professional team of personal trainers are available to help assist with a range of fitness training at our gym in Northampton. Because of this, we have a lot of returning members, along with a lot of referrals.

This is a 60 minute class focusing on strength and resistance training to bring about changes in the body through improved composition, performance and health.

Here at PTS we own a large variety of strongman equipment, all of which gets used by professional strongmen and women as well as in our strongman classes. Strongman training is becoming more and more popular with athletes from a whole host of other sports in recent years. We believe that the handling of unfamiliar shaped objects gives you an extra dimension to training that can't be given by standard barbells. As part of our classes, we can offer Olympic lifting technique training, concentrating on the clean & jerk, and also the snatch techniques. Our trainers teach you everything from the basic movements to the full lifts.

Our powerlifting classes at PTS focus on developing proficiency in the barbell lifts of the squat, bench press and deadlift and through this build strength, muscle and confidence. You can use the class to improve your understanding of the lifts all the way up to being able to perform them to competition standard, and even enter powerlifting competitions if you desire, or just enjoy the benefits of lifting well!

Like boxing, we are not offering an aerobics class, we help train our members to perform actual kickboxing skills.

Our Tough Runner classes offer a blend of running and obstacle event training. These 60 minute sessions are an excellent way to build base fitness, agility and co-ordination with fun and challenging drills like swinging on monkeys bars and scrambling and crawling in different ways. Plus you don't have to get wet or muddy!

We at PTS think kids exercise is important for your little ones, so we allow kids from the ages of 9-15 to join in our circuit classes, which is great for getting your kids moving, stronger and fitter while having fun doing it and building a positive relationship with exercise and activity. We understand that parents like to exercise too but often can't fit it in around the kids, so the circuit class is perfect so you can both exercise at the same time - with a little competitive edge so you can show the little ones how it's done (and often vice versa!). The classes are suitable for all abilities, just bring a bottle of water, comfy clothes and lots of guts and determination!(especially the parents!).

Our personal training sessions are fantastic for helping you keep on track for your training goals, making sure you are getting the techniques right to ensure you have a full safe workout. We push our members to achieve personal goals, which are always realist targets to reach.

Boxing is a private fitness class, therefore it's EXCLUDED from block paid sessions and the price will remain at £5 per session for an hours training.

Our cancellation policy of the day prior to booked fitness classes will remain. If you cannot make a class and you inform us the day before and you will NOT be charged, same day cancellations will be charged the cost of the class, this is the same for single or block session holders.

    The weekend of 27th and 28th May 2018, Alex, Nina, P-j, and Ali headed to the All England Powerlifting National Championships at Moulton College to do some lifting! Alex Munns scored a 87.5kg PB squat, a 52.5kg bench press, and a 130kg PB deadlift for a PB total of 270kg! Pj Gentle scored a 115kg PB squat, a 55kg bench press, and a 140kg deadlift for a PB total of 310kg and 4th place!
